All jobs that are sent to Secureprint -printer and can be printed from any multi-function device with personal PIN-code or printing card (Card available only for staff members). You can create PIN-code on <a href=\"https:\/\/printportal.jamk.fi\">printportal.jamk.fi<\/a>&nbsp;website. Log in with your Jamk&#8217;s credentials.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NOTE!<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/print.jamk.fi\">print.jamk.fi<\/a> website is only accessible on Jamk\u2019s desktops\/laptops that has a local intranet connection or <a href=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/ohjelmistotjalaitteet\/en\/wlan\/eduroam\/\">Eduroam WLAN<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff members can authenticate on printers with printing card. <a href=\"#staff\">Read more about printing cards<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create your PIN-code using \u201dGenerate PIN\u201d. Get the code for yourself, but it&#8217;s also sent to your Jamk&#8217;s email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you forget your code, you can create a new one.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"print\">How to print<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Print your document to Jamk_Secure_Print-U printer\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NOTE!<\/strong> Printer are accessible only on Jamk&#8217;s computers and laptops which has local intranet connection. If your are using your mobile device or personal device, go to &#8221;<a href=\"#owndevices\">Printing on your personal device<\/a>&#8221; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If printer is not available, <a href=\"#add\">follow instructions how to add printer<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log on to printer using your personal PIN-code or printing card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose \u201dSafeQ Print\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose which jobs you want to print and press \u201dStart\u201d \u2013button\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can print all waiting jobs by selecting &#8221;print all&#8221;, before log in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please remember to log out of printer after you are done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notice! <\/strong>All jobs will be cleared from queue after 3 days if they are not printed.<\/p>\n\n\n  <div id=\"notice-box-block_09149b94cce4e735c77e11e6b7e8fb9c\" class=\"block-notice-box block-notice-box\">\n          <h2 class=\"block-notice-box__heading\">Attention Thesis&#039;s Authors!<\/h2>\n    \n    <p>Before printing your thesis be sure that the campus printer setting is &#8221;print one-sided&#8221;. The default setting is two-sided and you had to change that due to the thesis publishing rules. This also saves your print quota.<\/p>\n\n      <\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"add\">Add a printer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Secureprint-U printer should be preinstalled on all computers. If not, you can install it youself (<strong>NOTE! <\/strong>Secureprint-U printer is only available for devices administrated by Jamk)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to WIndows settings &#8211; Bluetooth &amp; Devices \u2013 Printers &amp; Scanners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Add Device &#8211; Search Device &#8211; Work or School (from drop-down menu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jamk_Secure_Print-U should appear on the list. (On the right side, near the display)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose &#8221;print a document from External Memory&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select a file to print and tap &#8221;print&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set print options (bw\/colour, duplex)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start printing by pressing &#8221;Start&#8221; -button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please remember to log out of printer after you are done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepted file formats: .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .jpg, .tiff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"owndevices\">Printing from your personal devices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Jamk&#8217;s printers are accessible only on Jamk&#8217;s laptops and desktops that has a local intranet connection. If you want to print form your mobile or personal device, you must send the file as a email attachment to printer. Send the file from <strong>Jamk email address <\/strong>to mobileprint@jamk.fi (if there is no attachment, email body will be printed). After sending the email, wait for a confirmation that the request has been successfully accepted to printer server. You can then print the job normally from any multi-functional printer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepted file formats:<br>.pdf, .doc, .dot, .docx, .dotx, .docm, .dotm, .rtf, .xml, .odt, .ott, .html, .xhtml, .mhtml, .xls, .csv, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlsb, .xltx, .xltm, .ods, .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .ppsx, .pot, .potx, .odp, .txt, .fo, .svg, .xps, .epub, .bmp, .jpeg, .jpg, .tiff, .png, .gif, .emf, .ico, .wmf<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"copy\">Copying<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to device using your personal PIN-code or printing card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After authentication, copying feature works just like before.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please remember to log out of printer after you are done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scanning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to device using your personal PIN-code printing card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose scanning feature (Scan\/Fax) and place document(s) to tray<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose to send scan to your mailbox by choosing \u201dMe\u201d \u2013button and start scanning by pressing \u201dStart\u201d or input any email address by choosing \u201dDirect Input\u201d and &#8221;E-Mail&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start scanning by pressing \u201dStart\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please remember to log out of printer after you are done!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to administrate own print jobs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can administrate your own print jobs via browser at <a href=\"https:\/\/printportal.jamk.fi\">printportal.jamk.fi<\/a>, where you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Delete jobs (reports-page)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Browse your printing history<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The service is only accessible through Jamk\u2019s laptops and desktops or Eduroam network. Instructions how to connect to Eduroam can be found from separated instructions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"staff\"><strong>How to register the printing card (Staff only):<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff member can authenticate on printers with a printing card. Cards are available from Info-Desk. The card must be registered before use:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place your printing card over the reader that is located under display panel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type your Jamk credentials (short username and Jamk password)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Card is now ready to be used and in the future you can authenticate on printer just by flashing card to printer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please remember to log out of printer after you are done!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Printers for staff<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All the printing jobs are sent to Secureprint queue. There is still some private printers available.
