Use Jamk <em>Other reporting template<\/em>. Download it to your computer from the <a href=\"https:\/\/jamkstudent.sharepoint.com\/sites\/Assets\/OfficeTemplates\/Forms\/AllItems.aspx?id=%2Fsites%2FAssets%2FOfficeTemplates%2FOpiskelijat%20%2D%20Students&amp;viewid=47f28a54%2Dfed7%2D4dc9%2D8b16%2D6aa9d416a3bd\">Jamk Office templates page (requires login)<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t be discouraged, even if it may feel like there is a lot to do. A well-designed plan will facilitate and guide your work. Ask your thesis supervisor for help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The sub-pages (5.1 &#8211; 5.5) give more details on the tasks. <\/strong>Read the pages carefully. If your thesis has a commissioner (client), see section <em>3 Commissioner and thesis topic. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create and complete the following tasks in Wihi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review the Jamk reporting instructions and thesis assessment criteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read through the information on good scientific practice and ethical practices, data protection and copyright.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make an agreement with your commissioner (client) if you have one. If necessary, sign also a non-disclosure agreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarise yourself with how to handle the research data. Write a data management plan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Draw up the thesis plan and its appendices using the \u2018<em>other reporting<\/em>\u2019 template. Ask comments from the thesis supervisor in Wihi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Present your thesis plan in the thesis seminar or the small group arranged by thesis supervisor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find out if you need to apply a research permit. Attach the thesis plan approved by your supervisor to the research permit application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write 3\u20135 pages of knowledge base.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enroll to <em>\u2018Thesis writing, Bachelor\u2019s degree<\/em>\u2019 (2 cr) or \u2018<em>Research writing, Master&#8217;s degree<\/em>\u2019 (3 cr) course. Choose the course that fits best with your thesis schedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate the self-paced course<em> Information Seeking for Thesis Writers<\/em> and do the related tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When necessary, ask for individual guidance from your thesis supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The thesis supervisor approves the phase in Wihi when you have completed all related tasks. At the same time, the next phase of the thesis opens in Wihi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: Use Wihi as a messaging tool with your thesis supervisor during the thesis process. Upload the draft versios of your work there. Do not use e-mail or send Teams private messages.
