Foresight refers to sounding the future, i.e., \u201cseeing\u201d and planning for the future, i.e., \u201ccreating\u201d the future. Foresight outlines future forecasts to be used in current decision-making. Influencing the future requires awareness of the importance of one\u2019s own actions and choices, challenging current assumptions, imagining desired futures and discussing them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Asking the \u201cright\u201d questions as a starting point:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What do we know that we understand about the future?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What do we not understand?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What kind of trends and uncertainties can we identify?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What kind of different potential futures do we have?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What kind of risks related to our actions can we identify?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How should we prepare for different future developments?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What kind of competence do you need to survive in the future operating environment?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do we produce effective competence?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What factors\/variables should be taken into account in curriculum work?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can continuous foresight be used in curriculum work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It\u2019s easy to get too comfortable with the familiar, the safe and the same. What kind of futures do we not want to see?
