Curricula can be created at Jamk in two different ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. By creating a new curriculum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. By copying an existing curriculum as a template for a new curriculum.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Creating a new curriculum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. From the main menu, select Curricula planning -> Curricula<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click the Add new<\/strong> button in the top-right corner, and from the drop-down menu, select Curriculum<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. In the Create new curriculum<\/strong> pop-up window that appears, enter the details of the curriculum.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • At the draft stage, mandatory information includes the name of the curriculum in Finnish and the code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • At Jamk, the name of a curriculum can be the name of a degree programme without the indication \u2018degree programme\u2019, e.g. Business Management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • At Jamk, the code is generated as follows:\n
          \n
        • the first three letters come from the code of the degree programme, e.g. HTL<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • the year for which the curriculum is prepared, e.g. 2020<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • the term when the education begins, e.g. HTL2020SS (Business Management autumn 2020 curriculum).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          4. In addition to the name (in Finnish and English) and the code, mandatory information at the curriculum approval stage includes \u2018Educational level\u2019, \u2018ECTS credits\u2019, \u2018Language\u2019, \u2018Duration\u2019, \u2018Degree\u2019, \u2018Degree title\u2019, \u2018Programme\u2019, \u2018Type\u2019, \u2018Group\u2019, \u2018Person in charge\u2019 and \u2018Organisation\u2019. See the Curriculum description section for more detailed instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          5. When you have entered the information needed for the curriculum, click the Save button at the bottom of the window to save your changes. A window is displayed where you can view the details of the curriculum you saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Copying an existing curriculum as a template for a new curriculum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          1. From the main menu, select Curricula planning > Curricula. A search field is displayed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Search for the desired curriculum. Further information: Search feature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Click the Copy<\/strong> button at the top of the view. The Copying the curriculum<\/strong> pop-up window appears.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Enter a code for the new curriculum (see \u2018Creating a new curriculum\u2019 for instructions on the correct format of the code). The name is populated automatically from the source curriculum, but you can edit it afterwards if necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. If applicable, tick to select the Specifications, Syllabuses, Classifications or Learning paths<\/strong> of the existing curriculum to copy them to the new curriculum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          6. In the Copy style section<\/strong>, select how you want to copy the study units of the existing curriculum to the new curriculum. There are two options (always use the above option!):\n
              \n
            1. Copy the structure and add old study units to new structure. This is the \u2018traditional\u2019 way to create a new curriculum, and also the one that is used at Jamk. With this option, the study unit codes, for example, will remain unchanged. However, new versions will be created of modules with new codes. The content of the modules will be copied in that case.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Copy the structure and study units to new curriculum and create equivalency between study units. This option is only used in exceptional cases.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Click the Copy button. The system confirms that the copying has been successfully carried out and displays a link to the curriculum you created.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
