On the \u2018Validation and approval\u2019 tab, you can check which curriculum basic information has been appropriately entered. The system administration will have to first define the rules according to which the checking of basic information is carried out. There are no rules attached to curricula in Jamk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The status bar at the top of the view shows the status of the curriculum: Draft \u2013> Ready to be approved \u2013> Approved \u2013> Published (figure 1). Each institute of higher education defines who is authorised to change the status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTE: After the curriculum has been published, you will no longer be able to modify the curriculum structure, scheduling plan and classifications. If you need to edit these, ask your administrator to unpublish the curriculum. You can, however, edit courses by searching for the course to be edited using the course search.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Changing the curriculum status<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you change the status of the curriculum from draft to ready for approval, the party responsible for the approval may check the curriculum and approve it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Click Ready to be approved<\/strong> icon in the status bar. The system opens the Status changing<\/strong> pop-up window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Where applicable, you can enter a comment on the approval draft in the Status changing<\/strong> pop-up window. The comment will be saved in the system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click the Update<\/strong> button. The \u2018Status changing\u2019 pop-up window closes. The Ready to be approved<\/strong> item in the status bar changes to green, indicating that the status of the curriculum has been updated to \u2018Ready to be approved\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. To change the status of the curriculum to \u2018Approved\u2019 and \u2018Published\u2019, follow the same procedure. The publishing of curricula is carried out on a central basis at the Educational Development Services.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The centre part of the page displays a list of general and curriculum-specific rules according to which the curriculum details must be entered (see the \u2018Rules\u2019 tab). Rules can be used for purposes such as defining the filling out of certain fields as mandatory or recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The bottom part of the page contains two buttons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Check the study units in the curriculum<\/strong>. This feature checks that the study units have been entered in accordance with the aforementioned rules.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Create PDF<\/strong>. Use this feature to create a pdf file of the curriculum.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
