Press the Esc key or click the small cross button in the pop-up window or the Close button to close the pop-up window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Viewing the content of a study unit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the name of the study unit -&gt; a pop-up window appears showing the details of the unit.<br>Press the Esc key or click the small cross button in the pop-up window or the Close button to close the pop-up window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">View curriculum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>View Curriculum<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The curriculum used as the basis of the student\u2019s PLP opens in a separate pop-up window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Searching for, adding and comparing studies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A student or staff member may add study units using the search feature or add personal study units. If a button is not displayed, you do not have sufficient user rights to use the feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"379\" height=\"158\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_add_studies.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP managements selecting studies -tab adding studies to PLP -buttons\" class=\"wp-image-1651\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Search for studies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the <strong>Selecting studies<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>magnifying glass<\/strong> icon after the name of the study module -&gt; the service will direct you to the Search for studies functionality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search for studies by name or code\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Search for studies using the text field -&gt; Click <strong>Search<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limit the search set by selecting the desired criteria from the left-hand side column under Type of the course, Type of education, Education, Optional, Degree title or Compulsoriness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The view displays the study units or study modules that meet the search criteria you selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the double arrow icon at the top of the view to switch to the next page. You can also change the number of search results shown on the page by selecting the desired amount from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To view a specific study unit or module, click its name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Add to basket<\/strong> at the end of the row to select the desired studies to the search basket.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>To view<\/strong> the contents of the search basket, click the <strong>x studies selected<\/strong> link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Empty basket<\/strong> to clear the basket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>x symbol<\/strong> before the study unit <strong>to delete<\/strong> it from the basket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Add selected to PLP <\/strong>to add the selected studies to the PLP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding a personal study unit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Use this feature to add studies that are planned to be completed in CampusOnline, for example, or as part of student exchange abroad or that have been previously completed in another higher education institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the <strong>plus symbol<\/strong> on the Selecting studies tab to add the study unit to the desired study module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Name (fi)<\/strong> field, enter the name of the study unit or course in Finnish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Name (en)<\/strong> field, enter the name of the study unit or course in English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Credits<\/strong> field, enter the scope of the study unit or course in credits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Description (fi)<\/strong> field, enter the description of the study unit or course in Finnish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Description (en)<\/strong> field, enter the description of the study unit or course in English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A personal study unit or course is assessed in the Assessment window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"588\" height=\"556\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_personal_studies.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP managements selecting studies -tab adding personal studies to PLP\" class=\"wp-image-1653\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Compare courses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can compare a maximum of five (5) study units or courses at the same time. You can select alternative or elective studies for the comparison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the <strong>Selecting studies<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Add to comparison<\/strong> to add courses or study units to comparison.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>X<\/strong> button in the Compare courses summary box to delete courses from the comparison.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Compare courses summary box that appears on the right-hand side column, click <strong>Compare<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click D<strong>elete selection<\/strong> to delete a course from the PLP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Select<\/strong> in the comparison to add a course to the PLP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"153\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_add_comparison.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP management selecting studies -tabs add to comparison function\" class=\"wp-image-1655\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"338\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_compare_courses.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP Managements select studies -tabs compare courses funtion\" class=\"wp-image-1656\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deleting studies from the PLP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Study units or courses can be selected to be deleted from the PLP either one by one or several study units at the same time. Only a staff member with a proper authorisation to do so may permanently delete a course. The courses marked to be deleted will no longer be shown on the other PLP tabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deleting a course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The deletion of a course is a two-step process. In the first step, the course is marked to be deleted, and it will no longer be shown in the student\u2019s PLP. This step can be completed by a student or staff member. In the second step, the course will be permanently deleted. The second step can only be completed by a staff member with a proper authorisation to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>First step:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the x button at the end of a course row to mark it for deletion.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Courses that have been marked as compulsory cannot be deleted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A student can use this procedure to e.g. indicate that they do not intend to complete an alternative course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A course that has been marked to be deleted will no longer be shown on the other PLP tabs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"153\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_delete_studies.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP management select studies -tabs part one of deleting studies\" class=\"wp-image-1658\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Second step:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The permanent deletion of the course is carried out by a staff member.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The staff member deletes the course permanently by clicking the recycle bin button.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the course has already been graded, it will not be deleted from the student but moves to external studies in the PLP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"153\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_delete_studies_part2.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP Management select studies -tabs part two of deleting studies\" class=\"wp-image-1659\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deleting several courses or editing their optionality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can edit the optionality of several courses or delete several courses in one go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tick the checkbox at the beginning of the row to select the desired courses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>Edit selected <\/strong>button at the top of the page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you want to edit the optionality of the selected courses, click\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can change the compulsoriness codes of the courses from the drop-down menu. <strong>Edit optionality of the selection<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To delete the selected courses, click&nbsp;<strong>Delete selected<\/strong> and confirm the deletion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"108\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_select_studies.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP Management select studies -tabs option to select several studies to either edit or delete them\" class=\"wp-image-1661\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Edit selected button can be found at the top of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"478\" height=\"104\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_edit_selected.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP management select studies -tabs edit selection button\" class=\"wp-image-1662\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you edit the optionality of the selected courses, you have the following options available in the drop-down menu:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"593\" height=\"147\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2020\/05\/PLP_Management_selecting_studies_edit_optionality.png\" alt=\"Picture of PLP Management select studies -tabs editing studies optionality function\" class=\"wp-image-1664\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Use the Selecting studies tab to add studies to or delete studies from the desired study modules.
