Others are accredited through Replacement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prior acquired competences by inclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before processing the application, read the instructions on the previous pages of this guide: <a href=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/en\/erpl-accreditation\/\">eRPL \u2013 Accreditation<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/en\/erpl-accreditation\/erpl-application-in-peppi\/\">eRPL application in Peppi<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the application from the \u2018Actions\u2019 drop-down menu on the right side of the application line. Select \u2018<strong>Process<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Making a decision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click \u2018<strong>Go Directly to Decision-Making<\/strong>\u2019 on the \u2018<strong>Process<\/strong>\u2019 tab (Figure 1). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2023\/05\/Aiemmin-hankittu-osaaminen-sisallyttaminen-opinnot-ja-osaamiset.png\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Figure 1. This can be done, for example, by means of a written document, interview, video, learning diary or a portfolio, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Decision: Approve completely<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: As a rule, the &#8221;approved completely&#8221; decision is used in inclusion cases.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Converting competencies into credits<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: In order for the decision to be \u2018approve completely\u2019, the student must have completed both a description of their competence and an hourly calculation, which clarifies how many credits the competence in question can substitute for (1 credit = 27 hours of the student\u2019s work). The competence must be at the level of a Bachelor\u2019s or a Master\u2019s Degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Decision information<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter the information below on the <strong>Process<\/strong> tab (Figure 3):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>decision \u201cApprove completely\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a message to the student (justifications for the accreditation)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the registrar (choose yourself here)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>message to registrar field you can write notes that are only visible to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, click \u2018<strong>Save<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2023\/05\/Aiemmin-hankittu-osaaminen-sisallyttaminen-paatos.png\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Figure 3. Recording information related to the decision<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Decision: Reject<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In inclusion processing, you cannot make a \u2018Reject\u2019 decision for individual components. Instead, you must reject the entire application. You can do this by clicking the \u2018<strong>Reject the application<\/strong>\u2018 button at the top of the application page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Decision: Approved, but competence must be demonstrated<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Approval of the application provided that the competence is demonstrated requires an agreement to be drawn up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement is made on the <strong>Agreements<\/strong> tab of the processing of the application before the decision is made. Enter what the student must do to have the entire course approved in the \u2018Description of the New Agreement\u2019 field (figure 4). Finally, click \u2018<strong>Add new agreement<\/strong>\u2019. Check the information on the agreement. In this section, you can, for example, share the information on the agreement with another teacher by adding them in the \u2018Other Teachers\u2019 field. Click \u2018<strong>Save<\/strong>\u2019 to approve the agreement. Please require the student to demonstrate his\/her competence or complete the competence before recording the credit, because the recording transfers the study attainment to the student&#8217;s transcript of records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choosing the application keywords<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The next step in recording accreditation is to select the keywords that best describe the competence in the application from the \u2018Hakemuksen asiasanat\u2019 window (figure 5). Note: The window is only in Finnish. You can select more than one keyword. You can also filter the keyword list by first typing your field of study in the \u2018Ohjauksen ala\u2019 field to see only the keywords related to your field. Note: In this case, you cannot find so-called general keywords.
