Please note that if a reviewer creates the application, the student will no longer be able to complete the AVOP survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Processing an application<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Valo service will send you an email when a student\u2019s application is ready for processing. Follow the \u201cReviewer\u2019s checklist\u201d list and mark phases as completed as they are finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check in the PLP that the graduation discussion has been completed as part of:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s students: \u201cDevelopment as an Expert\u201d or \u201cCareer Planning and Working Life Skills\u201d course (credits marked)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master\u2019s students: included in final-stage studies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional Teacher Education students: \u201cDeveloping a Professional Teacher Identity\u201d course (credits marked)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Review the accuracy of the PLP and make any necessary corrections. Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/en\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/en\/\">Peppi instructions<\/a> if needed.<br>Ensure that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All mandatory studies have been completed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The minimum scope of the degree is met<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Course names and their translations appear correctly on the transcript<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The thesis title is correct and matches the archived version<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Courses are placed under the correct study modules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are no duplicate grades for the same course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are unable to make corrections yourself, contact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jamk.fi\/en\/for-students\/degree-student\/student-services\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.jamk.fi\/en\/for-students\/degree-student\/student-services\">Student Services<\/a>.<br>Contact the student if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They have not completed all sections of the application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are deficiencies in the application, such as missing studies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The student is not registered as attending during the graduation semester<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sending the application for approval<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"582\" height=\"559\" src=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2026\/08\/valo_add_approver.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2026\/08\/valo_add_approver.png 582w, https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi-ohjeet-henkilokunnalle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2026\/08\/valo_add_approver-300x288.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 582px) 100vw, 582px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Send the application to the Valo approver designated for the degree programme by entering their name in the search field on the right. Only individuals with the required permissions will appear in the selection list.
