{"id":2593,"date":"2020-05-15T07:47:52","date_gmt":"2020-05-15T04:47:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi\/frequently-asked-questions\/"},"modified":"2026-02-18T12:14:10","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T10:14:10","slug":"frequently-asked-questions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/peppi\/en\/frequently-asked-questions\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQ"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Here\u00b4s frequently asked questions about Peppi and notes about bugs that came with Peppi&#8217;s update, which will be fixed in the following releases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, new features and bugs from previous updates are listed here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Features in update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Next update to Peppi is on 23. &#8211; 24.2.206<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Student&#8217;s Desktop<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The PLP view (Personal Learning Plan) on the student desktop has been simplified. The info boxes have been removed from the <em>Inspection<\/em> and <em>Selecting studies<\/em> tabs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <em>Group description<\/em> tab has been removed from the student desktop&#8217;s PLP view.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The text in the course implementation\u2019s <em>ingress<\/em> field is now visible in the student\u2019s PLP view under the course implementation details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The \u201cClassifications\u201d tab will be removed from PLP in the upcoming Peppi update<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Peppi system update, the <em>Classification<\/em> tab will be removed from the Personal Learning Plan (PLP). Previously, this tab could be used to review the competencies gained through course units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the update, you can check the competencies gained in course units directly from the curriculum. In addition, in some degree programmes, the curriculum allows you to see which course units are mandatory and which are elective for you\u2014see instructions in Help. The curricula can be found on Jamk\u2019s website as well as in Peppi under the \u201cStudies\u201d section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enrollment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bugs in update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The student&#8217;s preference for the teaching group and the teacher&#8217;s placement in the teaching group are shown in their own columns on the registration tab of the PSP. Update doesn\u00b4t affect placements made before update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Problems with logging in Peppi<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in with your Jamk user account in peppi.jamk.fi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your login fails, try to clear the cache memory of the browser.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have multiple study entitlements, try another user account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you don\u2019t have access to Students\u2019 Desktop, submit a support ticket <a href=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/en\/\">https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/en\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My surname in Peppi is wrong. What should I do?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your surname in Peppi is other than your present surname, submit a support ticket <a href=\"https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/en\/\">https:\/\/help.jamk.fi\/en\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>If I want to enrol course implementations do they have to be in my PLP? Must teacher tutor accept my PLP before I can enrol courses?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can enrol for courses which aren\u00b4t in your PLP.
