Activate your account in the new id.jamk.fi service

Jamk’s identification service is renewed! The new service id.jamk.fi will be introduced as of 22 October 2025 and it will replace the previous tunnistus.jamk.fi service. 

In the service, users can change their password and reset their two-factor authentication (MFA) settings as before using Suomi.fi authentication. New features include username activation, i.e. initial ID verification, and the ability to verify identity with Candour ID on a self-service basis. The Candour ID integration is primarily intended for individuals who are unable to authenticate themselves using the suomi.fi identification service.

Go and activate your account!

Each Jamk’s community member, both staff and students, must activate their account in the new service at id.jamk.fi. Changing the account password is not necessary after activation even though the service advises doing so. The activation of the account is recorded in the IDM system at different levels depending on whether it is done in the suomi.fi (High) or Candour ID (Medium) service. Recording the identification level is a HAKA requirement and it will affect logging in to some HAKA services in the future.
