SMS verification not available after 1.5.2025
Due to security reasons, text message authentication (SMS) cannot be used as a method of strong authentication after 1.5.2025. This change is part of a continuous effort to improve data security and user protection at Jamk.
Why is SMS not secure?
SMS messages are vulnerable to various security threats like SIM swapping, SMS interception, etc. In summary, it does not provide adequate protection as a method of strong authentication.
What should I do?
If you know you’re using SMS authentication, enable the Microsoft Authenticator mobile app or FIDO2-compliant physical authentication as soon as possible.
