Generative AI (GenAI) creates new content, including text, images, audio, and video, based on user inputs or prompts. AI is based on machine learning and deep learning, where AI models learn by utilizing large amounts of data. AI can facilitate many tasks, such as reviewing materials or brainstorming content, but it does not replace the user’s own thinking. The material produced by AI is not always reliable, so its use requires knowledge of the subject area.
