Default software on workstations
All Jamk workstations has Microsoft Windows 11 as an operating system and same basic software pre-installed. Besides basic software that comes with the OS, there may also be some other software installed depending of the usage of the workstation.
Software in basic template:
- Windows 11 Enterprise 64 bit (operating system)
- Microsoft 365 apps fi/en (Office programs, for example text editing and spreadsheets etc.)
- Microsoft OneDrive
- Windows Defender (Anti-virus software)
- Adobe Acrobat Unified (PDF-reader and editing)
- Irfanview (picture viewer)
- Notepad++ (text editor)
- Firefox (internet browser)
- Google Chrome (internet browser)
- Edge (internet browser)
- VLC media player (video player)
More software can be installed from Software Center
- Adobe Creative Cloud (used to install other Adobe software)
- Windows App (remote desktop connection)
- Microsoft Climpchamp and OpenShot Editor (Video Editor tools)
- Windows Sandbox (virtual desktop for ex. software testing)
- Other specified software for administrator and educational fields are available for via separated service request
Some apps are available from Microsoft Store without administrator privileges
- Zoom (video conferencing)
- Microsoft PowerToys (utilities for power users)
- Spotify
