4 Purpose of the processing of personal data
The system is used in study sales and enrolment for Jamk open studies.
5 Data contents of the register
The following data are saved into the register:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Address
- Home municipality
- e-mail address
- Telephone number
- Title
- Study information
6 Legal bases for processing personal data
Legal bases for processing personal data is the consent of the data subject and a contract. Consent can be cancelled by contacting the main users.
7 Regular information sources
Information is gathered from the person to be registered in the enrolment/application stage.
8 Regular information disclose and information transfer outside the EU or the European Economic Area
The personal data is transferred to the study information system.
The processing of personal data has been outsourced through an assignment contract. The service provider handles personal data on behalf of the controller.
Information is not regularly rendered to third parties. Data is not transmitted outside the EU or EEA, or international organizations.
9 Register protection principles
The register does not contain manually collected material.
Access to the system is limited at Jamk to specific persons and is determined by their working duties. The use of the system requires a user ID and a password.
All servers are located in a locked location and access is monitored. Servers are only allowed for administrators.
10 Retention period or criteria for determining
To enable studying the personal information is transferred to the Study information system. Registers are stored in accordance with the Jamk information management plan, and the data has specified retention periods. Data in the national higher education achievement register is stored permanently. Jamk stores any information on documents pertaining to theses electronically and permanently (Decision of the National Archives of Finland AL/20757/07.01.01.03.02/2016 )
The personal data will be removed after the online shopping pilot has ended.
11 Automatic decision-making/profiling
Automated profiling related to personal data is not conducted.
12 Rights of the Data Subject
User information is corrected according to notifications.
