Blended teaching facilities

A blended teaching classroom is a space where the technical equipment supports a teaching method that incorporates several teaching modes. In Jamk’s blended teaching classrooms, efforts have been made to enable the best possible learning experience for students who participate either physically or online at the same lecture, for example using Zoom or Teams online conferencing systems.

Technical facilities in the blended teaching classrooms: :

  • two projectors,
  • a computer with two monitors,
  • a remote web camera and
  • a high-quality meeting microphone, and
  • a audio-visual control system and panel to select which screen is shown on which projector.

Tips to manage your blended teaching:

  • Set your classroom computer to Extend mode, where one screen shows a presentation related to the lesson and the other screen shows the conferencing system (Zoom or Teams).
  • Select the projector on the back wall of the classroom for the conferencing system view and the projector on the front wall for the teaching content view for students physically present.
  • Also share the content view with remote students via the conferencing system.
  • Show remote students the view from the camera of your choice.
  • A meeting microphone is used to communicate between the physical and remote learners in the room. Remote students can also participate via conference system chat.
