11.5 Monitoring thesis progress and search functions

As a coordinator, you can monitor the progress of the thesis at the degree programme level from the Report view in the upper menu in Wihi (Figure 1).

You can also monitor the progress of the theses and their activity status on the Active Projects tab (Figure 2). The colour code in the Activity level column indicates the progress of the work as follows:

grey = no activity yet
green = thesis has progressed less than four weeks ago
orange = thesis has not progressed for 4-8 weeks
red = thesis has not progressed for more than eight weeks

Search functions

You can apply for theses from several different views. Each view contains different search criteria.

In the Active Projects view, you can search for theses by degree programme or education type.
There are no actual search criteria in the Report view, but you can get statistics on theses at different stages by degree programme from there. Note that you will also get the data in Excel.
In the Project archive view, you can search for theses that have already been completed by degree programme or education type, as well as by archiving date.
The Project Search view has the most diverse search terms. You can search for theses with the student name, student number, degree programme, business ID (if the employer’s information has been entered), advisor’s name, archiving date and arrival group. You can also search for drafts.
