Guest credentials

When inviting lecturers and visitors into Jamk, the correct use of user credential and access to the premises must be ensured.

User credentials for visitors

A user credential provided for short-term use is a so-called guest credential, which is valid for 1-5 days. It can be used to log into Jamk’s workstations, use the wireless guest network (Jamk-Guest), save to the home directory, and print a small number of documents. M365 (Office) and Adobe licenses are not available with the guest ID.

The guest credentials are given to the visitor before the event starts, so it’s good to reserve a moment for this. The credentials are generally handed over against identification papers and a signature, and it is usually valid for the current day. The user of the ID is bound by the network usage rules.
