Authenticator not working. How to reset MFA settings?
If you can’t log in to Jamk’s services because your Authenticator app is not working or you don’t have access to your phone, you must reset all strong authentication (MFA) settings and re-configure it. To reset MFA settings, you need to verify your identity.
How to reset strong authentication (MFA) settings:
- Go to id.jamk.fi and provide your jamk email address
- Staff: firstname.lastname@jamk.fi
- Student: username@student.jamk.fi
- External users: firstname.lastname@external.jamk.fi
- Select “MFA reset” and verify it by using strong ID verification. You can use either suomi.fi or Candour ID authentication
- Suomi.fi authentication requires that you have Finnish social security number and Finnish online banking credentials with ID verification
- If you cannot authenticate with suomi.fi, choose Candour ID option.
- Wait a while for the information to update between the systems (max. 10 min) and continue by logging into M365 at m365.jamk.fi and follow the instructions given.
- Detailed instructions how to set up Authenticator after reset can be found here
If you have problems of using id.jamk.fi -service, please contact Helpdesk.
