Jamk Moodle Bank

Students appreciate that all courses follow a consistent and uniform structure. At Jamk, teachers have also asked for uniform templates for building Moodle courses.

Inspired by research results and feedback from both students and teachers, we at Jamk have created Jamk Moodle Bank which includes templates. The goal of these templates is to present key information for each course in a consistent manner. This provides a sense of security for both students and teachers.

Contents of the Welcome template:

1. A brief description of the course and a link to the course description
2. News
3. Timing of the course
4. Timetable or instructions on how to complete the course independently

Contents of the Learning outcomes, workload and assessment template:

1. A short description of the learning outcomes
2. Student workload in relation to the credits
3. Information on course assessment
4. Information on course resit possibilities
5. Instructions on individual special arrangements

It is recommended that the templates are used unedited in all Jamk Moodle courses. The teacher can access the templates from a Moodle course called Jamk Moodle Bank by using the Sharing cart tool.
