4.4.4 Agreements

A written agreement on thesis cooperation is always concluded between the authors, the commissioner and Jamk. After the thesis has been completed, the commissioner gives her own statement about your thesis (see Links).

A thesis prepared by a student at Jamk is public. A thesis that is completely secret cannot be prepared at Jamk. If the thesis contains confidential information, it must be left in the background data included as an appendix to the thesis. In this case, a confidentiality agreement on thesis appendices will be drawn up as an appendix to the thesis agreement. See section Publicity of the thesis for more detailed instructions.

Who signs?

  • Agreement on Bachelor´s/Master´s Thesis Cooperation is signed by the representative of the host company/organisation, thesis author(s) and principal thesis tutor.
  • A confidentiality agreement on thesis appendices will be drawn up as an appendix to the thesis agreement. It is signed by the representative of the host company/organisation, thesis author(s) and Head of Department. Please also remember to return the thesis agreement.
  • Both agreements can be signed electronically instead of manually using the Jamk Sign service. Your principal thesis tutor should start a signature cycle in this case, so talk to your thesis tutor about this possibility. Instructions can be found in Help.
