Curricula planning

The ‘Curricula planning’ section of the Planner’s Desktop in Peppi is used for managing curricula and the elements they include: study units, study modules and separate study modules. The section is also used for managing the structure, commencement of studies, learning paths and classifications.

The first step in curricula planning is curriculum preparation. At Jamk, curricula are prepared for each beginning group by degree programme, primarily by the persons in charge of degrees. Curricula are also prepared for specialisation studies and for teacher, special needs teacher and counsellor studies at the Teacher Education College on an annual basis.

Translations

The degree programme is responsible for translating the following degree-related texts into English:

• descriptions of degree-related competence (classifications)

• descriptions of courses and their implementation

• study module descriptions

The degree descriptions are translated on a centralised basis in Kouke [Educational Development Services].
