Inspection tab

The Inspection tab displays an up-to-date, structured PLP. The PLP is based on the default curriculum of the study entitlement concerned.

Viewing the content of a study module

Click the name of the study module -> a pop-up window appears showing the details of the module. Press the Esc key or click the small cross button in the pop-up window or the Close button to close the pop-up window.

Viewing the content of a study unit

Click the name of the study unit -> a pop-up window appears showing the details of the unit.
Press the Esc key or click the small cross button in the pop-up window or the Close button to close the pop-up window.

Download transcript

  • Select Download transcript (PDF).

The transcript can be found in your browser’s downloaded files folder.

Add a note to a study module or unit

  • Click the plus icon or speech bubble at the end of the study module or unit.
    • The plus icon is displayed if no note has yet been entered for the study module or unit.
    • The plus icon changes to a speech bubble if notes have already been entered.
  • Fill out the fields.
  • Select Send.
    • The message can be viewed in the student’s PLP and on the tutor’s desktop.

Editing and evaluating a study module

To edit the data of or evaluate a study module, click the ellipsis button on the right-hand side of the study module row.

Editing the study module name

You can select and change the alternative name of a study module by opening the edit menu of the study module.
To edit the study module name:

  • Click the ellipsis button on the right-hand side of the study module row.
  • Select Edit.
  • Select whether to show the original or alternative study module name on the transcript.
  • Enter the alternative study module name in Finnish and English
  • Click Save.

Study module assessment

Use the study module assessment menu to evaluate a study module. The assessment menu allows you to choose the names to be shown on the transcript.

To edit the study module name:

  • Click the ellipsis button on the right-hand side of the study module row.
  • Select Assessment
  • Choose the names to be shown on the transcript.
    • If you chose the alternative name as the name to be shown, enter the alternative name in Finnish and English.
  • Select a grade from the drop-down menu.
  • Enter the Date of study attainment.
  • The assessor is you by default. You can change the assessor here if applicable.
  • Notes for students – Not used! Do not write anything!
  • The notes for internal use will be displayed in the student’s study attainments for the study entitlement.
  • Click Save.

Editing and assessing a course unit

Click the ellipsis button on the right-hand side of the study module row to assess a course unit. Use the assessment menu to edit the details of a course unit that has already been assessed. You can set a type and the language used on the certificate for a course unit. If applicable, you can also set an alternative credits for a course unit.

  • Click the assessment button to assess the course unit or change its information, provided that you have sufficient user rights to do this.
    • By default, teachers enter grades via implementations.
  • From the Course unit type drop-down menu, you can select a type for the course unit.
  • Course units language – This field is not in use!
  • You can enter an alternative credits for the course unit by entering it in the field.
  • To clear the alternative credits entered for the course unit, click Empty alternative credits.

Course unit evaluation

Click the ellipsis button on the right-hand side of the study module row to assess a course unit. Use the assessment menu to edit the details of a course unit that has already been assessed.

  • Select assessment
  • Be sure to at least fill out the fields marked with an asterisk (*).
    • The Status field shows whether the course unit has already been assessed.
    • In the Credits field, you can change the number of ECTS credits awarded for the course if applicable.
    • In the Names shows in the transcript of records, you can select the names shown in the transcript.
      • If you chose the alternative name as the name to be shown, enter the alternative name in Finnish and English.
    • Select a grade from the drop-down menu.
    • Select the method of study attainment from the drop-down menu if applicable.
    • Select the place of study from the drop-down menu if applicable.
    • Select the language of the study attainment.
    • Select the municipality from the drop-down menu if applicable.
    • Enter the RDI credits belonging to the course unit in the RDI field if applicable.
    • Enter the Virtual credits belonging to the course unit in the Virtual field if applicable.
    • Enter the Date of study attainment.
    • The assessor is you by default. You can change the assessor here if applicable.
    • Notes for student – Not used! Do not write anything!
    • The notes for internal use will be displayed in the student’s study attainments for the study entitlement.
    • In the Extra note for the transcript of records field, you can enter additional information for the transcript of records.
    • The additional information will be shown under the name of the course unit in the transcript of records printed out from the PLP.
    • You can select a type of study unit for the study unit from the drop-down menu if applicable. This only pertains to study units related to the thesis.
    • You can change the discipline from the drop-down menu if applicable.
    • Click Save.

Thesis name and assessment

The thesis name and evaluation are shown in the bottom part of the PLP under Thesis. To enter the thesis name and assessment, click Evaluate the Thesis. For further instructions on how to enter the thesis in the system see viewing and editing study right information page.

The thesis evaluation will change following the deployment of the WIHI system.
