Examples how to use suggestion for time and locations
If implementation is virtual but it consist of webinars add dates and times for webinars in suggestions. Only with that information webinars can be added to schedules so students see them and you see them also in your own calendar.
Note! If student has enrolled to subgroup only Tuudo shows that subgroup´s reservations which student has enrolled to. Peppi and timetable engine show all the subgroup reservations although student has enrolled only to one. Students can hide wrong sub-group reservations from Tuudo and timetable engine: They just find the reservations they want, click the reservation and click Hide event. From Peppi´s calendar student´s can´t hide reservations. If they have synchronized Peppi´s calendar to Outlook they can delete wrong sub-group reservations from Outlook.
If student doesn’t remember the sub-group, he/she can check the subgroup from PLP. They just choose Enrolments tab and scroll down to Enrolments. Student can enrol to implementations without choosing a sub-group. Teacher can add or change the sub-group from implementation´s Enrolment menu.
Example 1: Timing for common hybrid lecture and separate contact lessons
In the example implementations there´s remote lectures for all the students. For contact lessons students are divided in two groups for lessons in Jyväskylä and lessons in Kuopio. Student enrolls his/her own city´s contacts. Teacher makes only one implementation.
- First do hybrid lecture suggestion. Define lectures dates and durations. Students enrol to this suggestions when they enrol the realizations
- Do two teaching group, name them for example Jyväskylä lessons and Kuopio lessons
- Teaching group type is Scheduling group
- Define that student can attend only one group
- Make then own suggestions for both of the teaching group. Define dates and durations
Student enrolls for one teaching group.
Example 2: Timing if same realizations is for 3 different group and in 3 totally different time
The easiest is to make 3 different realization to each group. It´s easier for student to enrol, if the contacts are at different times.
Example 3: Timing for realization with common lectures and 3 separate small groups
- First do lecture suggestion. Define lectures dates and durations. Students enrol to this suggestions when they enrol the realizations
- Do 3 laboratory groups.
- Teaching group type is Scheduling group
- Name and define if student can enrol only one or more group
Example 4: Timing for realization if contacts are in October 2x/week and in November 3h 1x/week
There´s two way to do timing.
1. Write the timing in Additional information field
2. Make suggestion for October: Define the date for October, duration 2h and twice / week. Make suggestion for November: Define the date for November, duration 3h and once / week
Example 5: Timing for realization if contact dates are already known
If you know the exact times and dates for contacts, it´s simplest to write them in Additional information field.
