Network information and quota groups for implementation

Network information is displayed on the Quota Groups tab of the implementation.

The tab has three levels:

  • Quota group for degree students (your organisation)
  • Quota groups for cross-institutional studies
  • Quota groups for paid education studies

The tab shows the number of implementation places set in the basic implementation data (minimum – maximum). You can edit it in this view. It will then be visible in the ‘Basic information of implementation’ view.

Example case:

  • Implementation ABC has a total of 50 places.
  • The number of degree student places is automatically calculated by subtracting from the total number of places assigned to other quota groups
  • You allocate the following places for cross-institutional studies
    • for network X 10 places
    • for network Y 10 places
    • You allocate 10 places for the ‘Paid education studies’ quota group Z
  • This leaves 20 places for degree students.

Quota size cannot exceed the total number of places for implementation. If you try to enter the quota group a size that will result in the total number of seats being exceeded, Peppi will issue a note (‘The size of the quota cannot exceed the remaining number of places.’).

After adding a quota group for cross-institutional studies to the implementation and publishing the implementation, it will be visible in the Peppi instances of partnering higher education institutions that are part of the network in question. In addition, the partner institution’s Peppi will display the implementing organisation. The system can automatically determine from the implementation which organisation is implementing it. This information is used, for example, in the study application process.

Depending on your user rights, you can add a quota group even if the enrolment has already begun and there are enroled students on the implementation. You can edit the implementation’s cross-institutional study quota groups in the following cases:

  • Enrolment has not yet begun
  • Enrolment has begun, but no one has enroled for the implementation yet
  • Enrolment has begun, and there are enroled students on the implementation.

Please note: In this case you cannot remove a quota group until you have removed the enroled students.

The system will show a notification, but will not stop your action if you try to edit or remove target group data after enrolment has begun and there are no enroled students yet.
