Adding study elements to the cross-institutional study network

The offering of the entire university of applied sciences is not automatically transferred to the cross-institutional study network. Instead, the separate study module, study module and course offering is specifically defined for selected networks. In addition, the transferable implementations must have network-based cross-institutional studies quotas.

Studies connected to the cross-institutional study offering will be transferred via the REST interface to the national service once the implementations have been published. Higher education institutions belonging to the network can apply for them from the national service through their own basic system.

If the user is authorised to add, edit, or delete study network information, the network can be connected to study elements in the following ways:

  • To a course through the curriculum view or implementation
  • To a study module through the curriculum
  • To a separate study module directly through its editing view.

See instructions for connecting the implementation to the network.

E.g. Separate Study Module view after creating connection

The Separate Study Module view’s ‘Connections to Cross-Institutional Study Networks’ tab contains the following information about the connection’s target network:

  • Identification and name of the network (with a link to the network information) and period of validity
  • If the network is inherited from the curriculum, its validity is the same as the duration of the curriculum. However, the period is within the validity of the network.
  • If multiple networks are connected from the same source, they appear on separate rows.
  • The connected study elements show the type of studies the network was inherited from
  • OPS-OJ: The network is connected through a course in a curriculum
  • OPS-OK: The network is connected through a curriculum’ study module
  • EOK: The network is connected through a separate study module
  • EOK-OK: The network is connected through a separate study module’s module
  • DIRECT: The network is connected directly to the course
  • UNKNOWN: Unknown type

Expired networks are hidden by default. To display them, select the ‘Show history’ check box.
